SHAKSHUKA DACOS BOWL

Shakshuka but make it Cretan!

Serves 2, total time required: 15 minutes

 

Instructions

  1. Slice a bell pepper, a few cherry tomatoes, and some garlic.

  2. Sauté with Extra Virgin Olive Oil over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.

  3. Add the tomato passata, season to your liking with sea salt, pepper and optional paprika.

  4. Cook over medium heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  5. Make two to four wells depending on how many eggs you’d like, crack an egg into each one, and add crumbled feta cheese on top.

  6. Cover the pan with a lid, turn down the heat to medium-low, and cook for 4-5 minutes just until the egg whites cook through.

  7. In the meantime, finely chop some parsley and green onion.

  8. Once ready, remove your shakshuka from the heat.

  9. Season the eggs with a pinch of sea salt, pepper and optional chili flakes, and garnish with the chopped-up parsley and green onion.

  10. Serve the shakshuka in two bowls and add a handful of CLASSIC or PROTEIN DACOS BITES in each one for the perfect crunch.

Ingredients

  1. 30-35 bites / 60-70g CLASSIC or PROTEIN DACOS BITES

  2. 1 bell pepper

  3. 10 cherry tomatoes

  4. 2 garlic cloves

  5. ½ cup / 125ml tomato passata

  6. 2-4 eggs

  7. 1 tbsp parsley

  8. 1 tbsp green onion

  9. Pinch of sea salt, pepper, optional paprika and chili flakes

  10. 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
