VANILLA & CINNAMON CREAM with RAISIN DACOS BITES

Think of pain au raisin, in other words, a danish pastry filled with the most delicious vanilla cream and raisins… only, it’s made in under 15 minutes, using RAISIN DACOS BITES instead of puff pastry!

Serves 1-2, total time: 15 minutes, if refrigerated: 2 hours

 

Instructions

  1. To a small pot, add milk, corn flour, sugar or agave syrup, a splash of vanilla and a pinch of salt. If you wish to enjoy the cream cold instead of warm, use half of the recommended corn flour. Whisk until fully incorporated and add a cinammon stick or cinammon powder.

  2. Place over medium heat, whisking continuously to avoid curdling. Cook for approximately 8 minutes until the cream is silky and coats the back of a spoon.

  3. Remove from the heat, remove the cinammon stick, and optionally add raisins to the cream.

  4. Garnish with RAISIN DACOS BITES for the perfect crunch.

  5. Enjoy your warm VANILLA & CINAMMON CREAM WITH RAISIN DACOS BITES OR let cool and refrigerate for at least an hour and a half to enjoy cold!

 

Ingredients

  1. 5-8 bites RAISIN DACOS BITES

  2. 2/3 cup / 150ml milk of choice (we used whole cow’s milk)

  3. 2 tbsp corn flour for warm OR 1 tbsp for cold

  4. 1 tbsp sugar or agave syrup

  5. Splash of vanilla

  6. Pinch of salt

  7. 1 cinammon stick OR ½ tsp cinammon powder

  8. Optional: handful of raisins
